La Clef du cabinet des souverains, Paris 14 august 1800, pp. 7-8.

1 volume available

Two short news items in the Paris chronicle (under "Paris, le 25 thermidor"). The first repeats, without names, the anecdote of a "charlatan" who had a hole dug with a barrel connected to a figure by a tin pipe and hid an accomplice in it: the "invisible" stopped answering and was found asphyxiated, and was revived with difficulty. The second reports that citizen Charles (R. Charles, Charles Rouy) announces his project of establishing, in about a minute, an acoustic correspondence between two people, one in Versailles and the other in Paris. Full transcription and Italian translation.
